We’ve been at war—don’t think so?

Long have I dreamed of returning to the simplicity of childhood. I’d even tolerate the bullying and twisted emotions again to escape the weight of this awareness. Back then, life felt structured and purposeful—adults were in charge, everyone had their roles, food regenerated at the grocery store, and the whole world made sense. We grew up believing society was designed for our best interests, that the smartest people shaped it to be optimal. That’s what college was for.

At some point—usually around puberty—the illusion cracks. We start to see the world for what it really is. It’s no Disney movie. By the time we experience it first hand as adults, we come to the same conclusion, regardless of whether our experiences have been good or bad:

The world is not what we were told it was. And it’s not always built with our best interests in mind.

POV: You’re alive in 2024.

  • The food you eat inflames your body and brain.
  • Your water is laced with lead and forever chemicals.
  • Inflation makes sure you stay just above poor even with an above average job.
  • The government can pressure you to take medications just because they say so.
  • Doom-filled news cycles keep you anxious and distracted.
  • AI is coming for your jobs.
  • Politicians are sacrificing children to the moon god.
  • And, according to the internet, you’re probably racist.

(Okay, maybe politicians aren’t sacrificing children to the moon god—but the rest? That’s real.)

So what choice do you have but to become a better version of yourself? Wouldn’t you train before going into battle?

Because whether you realized it or not, there’s been a war going on your whole life. I didn’t start to notice it until I started getting older and I began to care about my long-term future—about having a family, living a long AND healthy life, working on my terms, owning the place I live, being free.

Today, you must fight for your health.

You must fight for your right to speak your mind.

You must fight for your financial freedom.

You must fight for a chance in an ever-demanding world.

It’s now 2025. The odds are stacked against you. There are forces that don’t care about you, your future, or your well-being. And the version of you that isn’t getting the results you want right now won’t be the version that’s ready to fight when it matters.

You have a choice: grow, evolve, become unshakable—or do nothing and let the world dictate your fate.

Strong, powerful and hopeful.

Or weak, defeated and helpless.

I pray you choose the former.
